Welcome to Crate. Crate is the graduate student journal of the MFA Program for Poets & Writers at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Submissions:
There is a rolling submission process, and work will be posted as it is received. Email submissions to Crate.
Submission guidelines:
1. We won’t edit your work, so please make sure there are no glaring mistakes in your piece(s) before you submit.
2. Length: Any.
3. Format: Microsoft Word Documents only. Single-spaced. No zany fonts (for now, anyway). Include your full name at the top of each piece you submit. Don’t forget to include the title at the top of each piece, too (if applicable).
4. Bios: At the end of your full submission, include a little information about yourself, your work, whatever is on your mind (5-6 sentences max). If you wish, you may also send us a photograph – of yourself, of something you enjoy, of your heart’s desire…
5. Genre: Any.
6. You may submit as many pieces as you’d like.
7. We will only accept submissions from current members of the MFA community (for now, anyway).
